Pope Francis met with NBA players to talk about their personal efforts to promote social and racial justice, Vatican City, on Monday. Marco Belinelli, Sterling Brown, Jonathan Isaac, Kyle Korver, Anthony Tolliver, NBA players’ union director Michele Roberts and executives Sherrie Deans and Matteo Zuretti attended the meeting. «Giving the example of teamwork, but also remaining humble, is a beautiful example. Always preserving your humanity. Sport helps us to be more human,» the Pope stressed. Before posing for a group photo, the NBA players gifted Pope Francis with various presents, including a golden basketball, a jersey, and a book.
