Police fired tear gas and rubber bullets at mourners who came to pay their respects to football legend Diego Maradona, in Buenos Aires on Thursday. Police officers could be seen attending to an injured person, as a large crowd of fans were chanting. The Argentine government has decreed three days of national mourning after the announcement of the death of the former footballer. Maradona passed away on Wednesday at his home near Buenos Aires. He was hospitalised two weeks ago, to remove a blood clot from his brain, and released eight days later following a successful operation.
